Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform the synthesis of received wave directivity, without requiring a number of VCO's, by reading out the reflection signal fetched in a constant speed by using the signal hold function of CCD element in the timing programmed in response to desired azimuth at the readout time point. CONSTITUTION:The CCD delay line group 14 is formed by the number of elements of the array transducer 10 and has the function to hold tentatively the full length of the reflection wave signal from each element. Further, the clock is obtained from the clock generator 21 independently via the clock switch group 18, or the independent pulse having scheduled number of the additional pulse generator 19 is received, and the sample value is transferred. The image of the reflection wave signal group given with the skew is unified at the adder 15 in the readout process and synthesized into the reflection wave signal of desired azimuth. This signal is made to the video signal signifying the intensity of reflection wave with the detector 16, and after amplified at the video amplifier 17, it is fed to the display unit.
