Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve workability and productivity and also the surface quality of a product by employing active white clay mixed with a dispersing agent beforehand and given pre-treatment as a developer so as to lower the content of clay in the liquid for coating color-developing paper.
CONSTITUTION: No-carbon copying paper is prepared by combining a micro-capsul containing an electron-donating achromatic organic compound with active white clay which is adsorbent material presenting color by adsorbing an achromatic organic compound. On the occasion, 0.1W5wt% or desirably, about 2W2wt% of a dispersing agent such as sodium pyrophosphate and sodium tripolyphosphate is added to active white clay beforehand and is mixed and crushed. Next, when the coating liquid for color-developing paper is prepared by using this active white clay, the product shows low level of clay content and high fluidity, even when the coating liquid with high concentration is prepared, and thus the workability of coating work is raised. In addition, the smoothness of the coated paper thus obtained is improved, while a stain by developing being reduced and the strength of the surface being increased.
