Abstract

PURPOSE: The billet which is made difficult to cause thickness deviation by forming a small-diameter part of a slightly smaller diameter over the wide range of the intermediate of the billet in its axial direction and limitng the contact surface of the billet with the container inside surface to the small segment between the leading end part and trailing end part.
CONSTITUTION: A billet 1 assumes nearly a cylindrical shape and is made into a cylindrical shape having a small-diameter part 2 of an equal diameter made slightly smaller than the outside diameter of the both end parts over the wide range of the intermediate part of its axial direction.
