Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the precision and efficiency of the measurement by providing in the device a reference member used as a refernce for the measurement and a movable member constantly moving while constantly keeping parallel, and also providing therein a computing circuit for converting the rotational angle of each of two connecting pieces for connecting both members into a length.
CONSTITUTION: By releasing a stop metal fitting 10 to shift the movable member 2 along the grooves of the connecting pieces 3 thereby to create a measurable state. Then, the number, kind and the like of a tree to be measured are supplied to the device by a key switch 9 provided in a detection box 5, and the measuring surface of the reference member 1 and movable member 2 are caused to coincide with each other. Then, a clear button 6 is depressed, and the diameter D of the tree to be measured is measured by an angle α of the connecting pieces 3. By holding the state of the measuring operation, a transmission button 8 is depressed, data is transmitted to a data collector, and memorized therein. Collected data is connected directly to a computer, and is subjected to control and processing.
