CONSTITUTION: In dissolving coryneform bacteria, e.g. glutamic acid producing ones, having sparingly soluble cell walls with an enzyme, an antibiotic e.g. penicillin G (Takeda Yakuhin Kogyo K.K.), Bacitracin, or Griseofulvin, inhibiting the glycopeptide synthesis of the cell walls in an amount of usually 1W50,000 units, or several hundreds mg is added to 100ml of the culture of the bacteria, preferably in the later period of the logarithmic growth. About 30W60min after the addition, bacterium bodies are collected from the culture, and treated with cytolysin by the conventional method.
