Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify freight adjusting processing by calculating freight by using transport cards, on which a discrimination number has been recorded corresponding to a transported object, for transported objects, by reading this discrimination number by a terminal system in a station, and then by transferring the information to a host system. CONSTITUTION:When a transported object is transported from its starting station to the receiving station and its freight is totalized by a data processing system, passage card issuing machines 9 provided t respective station terminal systems 2A, 2B, 2C... issue transport cards with a recorded discrimination number, corresponding to the transported object, for every transported object. An user has this discrimination card read by passage card checkers 10-1 and 10-2 of systems 2A, 2B and 2C in the starting station and receiving station and the data are stored in memory unit 15. The information on the discrimination card from each station is transferred to host system 3 via terminal controller 6 and by using the information on the discrimination card, the freight is calculated and entered in user's file 4, thereby making a freight adjustment through bank online system 5.
