Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify hoist preparation work on a wire rope and make hoist and divided hanging work simple and safe, by attaching a wire support to the head of a bushing.
CONSTITUTION: A wire support 21 comprises an upper ring 22, a lower ring 23, a plurality of struts 24 which couples these rings to each other, etc. The upper ring 22 is provided with a stop plate 25 and a hanging lug 27. A guide member 29 is secured on the lower ring 23. A hold-down plate 31 is secured on the top of the guide member 29 by screws. The support 21 is hung up first. The support is then fitted on the head of a bushing 1. One end of a wire rope 28 is clamped on the hanging lug 27 and the other end is passed through the guide member 29. The latter end of the wire rope 28 is prevented by the hold-down member 17 from dropping off. The support 21 is suspended from a balance 11 coupled to a main hook 9. At that time, an auxiliary rope 7 is fitted on an auxiliary hook 13. The hooks 9, 13 are lifted by winding so that the bushing 1 is hung up to a prescribed height. The hook 13 is then slowly lowered so that the bushing 1 extends vertically and is secured on a mount. Opposite procedures are used to disengage the busing and turn it over to extend horizontally. This results in eliminating high-place work.
