Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to quantitively measure the scarfing quantity of a bottle at a desired position of a conveyor line by receiving and processing a detection signal from detection means for detecting a dummy bottle caused to flow to the conveyor belt of a bottling plant by a wireless system or a wire system.
CONSTITUTION: A dummy bottle 20 is caused to flow to a conveyor line. This bottle 20 is provided with a senser 21 for detecting the impact force, frictional force and pressure which cause scarfing as bending stress, axle stress and acceleration, a signal processing circuit 22, a transmitter 23 for high-frequency modulating the output from the circuit 22 and wirelessly transmitted, an antenna 24 and a power source 25. Signals from such bottle 20 are received and processed in a main signal processing circuit 28, and the result of processing is supplied to a recorder 29 and an estimation device 30. In the estimation device 30, there is carried out an estimation arrangement on the basis of scarfing information supplied through the circuit 28. By this procedure, the scarfing generated place on the conveyor line and the scarfing cantity can be appropriately obtained in a short period of time.
