Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of watching the temperature of a rotor and to prevent overheating and damage by burning of the same by providing a temperature measuring resistor and a bridge circuit for converting resistance variation based on the temperature fluctuation of the resistor, in the rotor, and using a rotary transformer for signal transmission. CONSTITUTION:With respect to a device 14 installed at the stationary side of a rotary electric machine, in a device 15 installed at the rotor side there are provided a temperature measuring resistor R1, a bridge circuit and an amplifier 23. When an AC voltage is applied to the stator side winding 17 of a source transmitting rotary transformer 16, a voltage is induced in a rotor side winding 18, and a voltage V is applied between connecting points 19 and 20 of the bridge circuit. When the resistance of the temperature measuring resistor R1 varies by the temperature fluctuation, a potential difference E between connecting pints 21 and 22 varies, and the potential difference E is amplified by the amplifier 23. This amplified voltage is applied to the rotor side winding 25 of a signal tansmitting rotary transformer 24, and a voltage is induced at a stator side winding 26, thus the temperature being displayed by a thermometer 6.
