Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to deposited matters at the pipe bottom and mixing of gas by providing electrodes at the top part and bottom part of a pipeline, and comparing the detected voltate with the reference voltage to know the distribution of the flowing speed.
CONSTITUTION: Exciting coils L1 and L2 are excited by a positive or negative rectangular wave exciting current IL from a rectangular wave exciting circuit EC. On the principle of an electromagnetic flow meter, signal voltage similar to the exciting current and proportional to the flowrate are generated respectively between detection electrodes DE1 and DE2 and a common electrode COM. The thus generated signal voltage (e1) and (e2) are amplified by AC amplifiers AA1 and AA2, and thereafter a desired flowing speed distribution detecting force (e) being obtained at the output end. Further, when the quantity of deposited matters accumulated on the pipe bottom, it is preferable that another electromagnetic flow meter capable of obtaining the total mean flow quantity is connected in series to obtain the ratio with the above described detection output.
