Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture easy-to-construct detonation chamber of long service-life to withstand a large amount of explosive by using connection rods to connect each separate panel in detonation chamber formed by enclosure of plural panels. CONSTITUTION:Thick steel plates are used to form panels of ceiling 1, floor 3, walls 2, 2', 2''. Perpendicularly connected, adjacent panels are fixed with welded sealing iron plates 6 using screws, etc. Panels facing each other are connected with connection rods 4, 4', 4'' and are tightened with nuts 5. When explosive is exploded in this detonation chamber, generated shock wave and explosion gas cause load on the surfaces of each panel. Each panel, which is connected but not united in a single body, can freely deform by receiving bending stress. The deformation may cause gaps between the panels, but the sealing iron plates 6 are pressed by explosion pressure so as to prevent leak of shock wave and sound and to provide a long service life.
