Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate an obstacle of a pump by a method wherein a liquid to be filtered is supplied from an upper portion of an almost vertical filter cylinder and sucked by a suction pump connected to a laterally provided pipe from a lower portion after passed through a filter material and exhausted from a pipe of one end of a pump to make it possible to filter fine dusts or the like without using a filter aid.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid to be filtered of a chemical solution such as a plating liquid or the like is supplied from a supply opening 21 connected to an upper portion of a filter cylinder 22 and passed through a filter material 23 by suction force generated by operating a suction pump 25. The purified filtered liquid is obtained from an exhaust port 28 of a pump through a connecting pipe 27. In this case, because suction type filtering is carried out, a filter material is not pressurized directly and fine dust, slurry are pressed down, squeezed or introduced under pressure and not passed through. Therefore, a precoating of a filter aid is not required for this filtration Moreover, because a liquid to be filtered is sucked by a pump after purified, the staining and the damage of a blade and a pump caused by large solids are completely eliminated.
