Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the safety of a CO2 laser gas regenerator by completely regenerating laser gas to minimize the exhaust gas and eliminating gas supply over long time. CONSTITUTION:A laser head 1 is, for example, a CO2 laser head assembled with a plurality of laser tubes. A gas regenerator 2 consists of a gas collecting unit 3 and a gas regenerating unit. Further, a gas collector 6 is provided thereat. The laser gas in the laser head 1 is intaken by a vacuum pump 31, and organic components are removed from the exhaust gas through a filter 41. Gas passed through the filter 41 are heated together with catalyst in a catalytic furnace 42 to remove CO and NOx. The output gas from the furnace 42 is cooled by a radiator 43, water content is removed through a filter 44, and gas pressure is then retained constantly by a constant pressure valve 45, and supplied to the laser head 1.
