Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the numerical displaying of bearings to be made readily without requiring any mechanical rotating mechanism by using a plurality of directional antennas and an oscillator or the like which transmits the plural AC signals having the phase angles respectively corresponding to the directions of their respective directivities. CONSTITUTION:The AC signals having the phase angles corresponding respectively to the directions of the directivities of a pair of antennas 1, 2 whose directivities orthogonally intersect with each other are transmitted from an oscillator 7 to modulators 3, 4 and the outputs of the directional antennas 1, 2 are respectively modulated. These modulated outputs are superposed in a synthesis circuit 8. The output of a non-directional vertical antenna 5 is applied to a 90 deg. phase shifter 6 and this is applied to the synthesis circuit 8. A receiving circuit 9 demodulates the output signal of the synthesis circuit 8 and applies the same to a filter 10 which in turn extracts the AC signal. This signal is applied together with the signal of a reference phase obtainable from the oscillator 7 to a phase comparator 11 which then detects the phase difference between them and this is displayed by a display device 12.
