Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a structure of a membrane tube wall wherein a part of a tube not contacting high-temperature gas is constituted by a material having a thermal expansibility greater than that of a material of a part thereof contacting high- temperature gas or the thickness of the former part is made thinner than that of the latter, thereby to release the thermal stress of the part contacting high-temperature gas and reduce the thermal fatigue thereof.
CONSTITUTION: In a membrane tube wall 4, semi-circular parts 5a of tubes 5 contacting high-tmeperature gas and fins 6 connecting tubes 5 respectively are made of a material of a small thermal expansibility and other semi-circular parts 5b of the tube are made of a material having a great thermal expansion or elongation, other semi-circular parts 5b being welded to the former semi-circular parts 5a to form a tube 5. In addition to this membrane tube wall, in a membrane tube wall 7, the thickness of semi- circular parts 8a of the tube 8, contacting high-temperature gas and that of fins 9 connecting the tubes respectively are made into a normal thickness, and the thickness of other semi-circular parts 8b of the tube is made thin at the minimum of necessity.
