Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the durability of the dies by forming the respective faying surfaces to the protrusion form and groove form assuming trapezoid in section at the time of brazing the end members and support members of the dies thereby bonding and integrating these.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of forming respective end members 1 by abrasion- resistant material such as costly super hard alloy and brazing the supporting members 2 composed of tough material such as inexpensive tool steel in the powder- molding dies consisting of an upper punch 4, lower punch 5 and core rod 8, the respective faying surraces 3 are formed to the protrusion form and groove form assuming trapezoid in section and are fitted to each other. Since this increases the faying area and disperses impact load, the occurrence of cracking and peeling at each faying surface 3 may be prevented at the time of packing metal powder 9 into the hole 7 of the die 6 and repeatedly pressure-molding the same.
