Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize the miniaturization of the element by exciting the surface elastic wave on both surfaces of the surface elastic wave substrate. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 5a, 5b are provided on one main surface of surface elastic wave substrate 4 to form elastic surface wave resonator 5. Electrodes 6a, 6b are provided on the other main surface to form surface elastic wave resonator 6 each. And the cut-out angles of the main surfaces are made different for resonators 5 and 6 to secure the different frequency-temperature characteristics. The surface elastic wave propagates only the area near the substrste, and accordingly two surface elastic wave resonators can be obtained with the size of one surface elastic wave resonator in terms of the plane by increasing the thickness of the substrate to some extent. Thus the miniaturization can be facilitated for the surface elastic wave element.
