Abstract
PURPOSE: To make possible the good brazing which does not cause warpage of core plates and the twist and distortion of the core itself by receiving the weight of the core assembly held by longitudinal and horizontal jigs by lower jigs and preventing the inclination to the horizontal jigs by retainer jigs thereby performing integral brazing.
CONSTITUTION: A longitudinal jig 8, a side plate 3, a side plate 3 on the uppermost fin of the alternate laminates of corrugated fins 2 and tubes 1, and a longitudinal jig 8 are stacked. When these upoer and lower jigs are elastically compressed with a press and the compression is released by inserting horizontal jigs 9, then the laminated state is surely held with the jigs by spring reaction. Next, the tubes 1 are erected and core plates 4 are driven by a press to the both end parts thereof. This assebmly is put on the lower jigs 11 so that the bottom ends of the tubes are received by the jigs 11. Next, the bent parts 12a of the T-form retainer jigs 12 are inserted into the grooves 10c of the arms 10b of hooks 10 and are contacted vertically with the jigs 9, whereby they are held. This prevents the assembly from tilting to the jigs 9. Next, the hooks 10 are hooked approximately perpendicularly and the assembly is carried into a vacuum heating furnace, where it is subjected to brazing through heating.
