Abstract

PURPOSE: To achieve the improvement in development efficiency and development image quality and miniaturization by providing an elastic member, conductive member and developing solution non-permeable member on a core member in the wet type developing device of an electrophotographic copier or the like.
CONSTITUTION: An elastic member 17, conductive member 18 and developing solution non-permeable member 19 are respectively suitably provided on a core material 16 to constitute the developing roller 15. By using this in pressure contact with the photoreceptor surface, the development region may be taken wider and the effect of developing electrode may be provided sufficiently, thus the development of sufficiently high quality may be accomplished even if the developing solution feed amount is small. Further, by covering the elastic member 17 by the developing solution non-permeable member 19, the deterioration of the member 17 may be eliminated and the development accomplished with the characteristics stable for a long period of time.
