Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the rectilinear propagation feature of a vehicle by constituting same such that elastic rubber bushes for mounting suspension members to the car body are differentiated in elastic modulus between left and right steering wheels so that a vehicle turning force resulting from a difference in length of left and right drive shafts is compensated thereby. CONSTITUTION:Base ends 11a of a V-shaped suspension arm 11 are attached to the car body for rockable motion about an axis 12 using an elastic bush 13. When the suspension arm base ends 11a are displaced leftwardly relative to an inner collar 14, the bush 13 is deformed as shown in phantom to increase the radial wall thickness at the same point on the axis to decrease the elastic modulus in the radial direction. The arrangement of the bush 13 is such that, for the longer drive shaft, the larger diameter end of the bush 13 is directed towards the back of the vehicle while, for the shorter drive shaft 10, the large diameter end of the bush 13 is reversely directed to the front of the vehicle.
