Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the cooling device while blowing dust off the mirror surface through blowing of gas against the resonant mirror depending on a pressure difference by making the static pressure at a space in the discharge section lower than that of the surrounding gas. CONSTITUTION:As a blower rotates, a laser medium gas is sucked from a gas sucking section 2 and discharged from a blower through a space in a discharge section 3c and a heat exchanger 5. Then, it enters the gas sucking section passing through a low flow speed space 1a. When a glow discharge generated at the space 3c in the discharge section oscillates laser, the gas rises in the temperature but cooled with a heat exchanger 5. On the other hand, a semi-transparent mirror and a fully transparent mirror are heated but cooled with a gas injected through a nozzle 7. This injection of gas is caused by the pressure difference between the spaces 3c and 1a. The gas is sucked by the space 3c passing through a beam passage after the cooling of the mirrors 9a and 9b.
