Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the engine noise generated in a bearing part of the crankshaft, by interposing a circular ring unit between the bearing metal and the journal part of the crankshaft and constructing oil layer clearances respectively on inner and outer circumferential surfaces of the circular ring unit.
CONSTITUTION: The inside diameter of a bearing metal 3 is constructed in a dimension slightly larger than the outside diameter of a journal part 4a of the crankshaft 4. Between the both 3, 4a in the above, a circular ring unit 5 is interposed. The circular ring unit 5 forms a fine dimensional clearance a between its peripheral surface and an inner circumferential surface of the bearing metal 3, while a bearing metal 6 is installed to an inner circumferential surface of said unit 5.
