Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a high speed printing even for a large number of printing letters by a method wherein a type section is provided for the different circumference of the type wheel in two stages, where the type wheel is shifted through the supporting element rotating around the center of the motor axis.
CONSTITUTION: The printing pitch is fixed by shifting the carrier 2 to the transverse direction. The rotation of the type wheel 14 and the type section 16 are selected by rotating the motor 4 and rotating in forward or backward direction corresponding to the requirement of the rotary solenoid 20, which allows to print by actuating the magnet 24. All printing selection and actuating timing are controlled by the electronic circuit. While the type section 16 is selected by rotating the type wheel 14 through the gears 6, 16 which are rotated with the motor 4, the gears 6, 12 allow to engage without a backlash by use of the tension spring 13, that permits to set the position of the type section accurately.
