Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of synchronizer by simultaneously operating the first and second automatic voltage regulator of the same construction which are adapted such that, when the first automatic voltage regulator is failed, it is shifted to the second one. CONSTITUTION:When a change-over means is operated to allow contacts 55a, 55b to be closed and opened, respectively, a reference voltage setter 62a for an automatic voltage regulator 50A in a group A is controlled by an automatic voltage and reactive power control means 60 through a contact 64a. An automatic follow-up mechanism 63 is adapted to control a reference voltage setter 62b for an automatic voltage regulator 50B in a group B through a contact 65b, so as to set a reference voltage of the setter 62b in agreement with that of the setter 62a. When the failure of the voltage regulator in the group A is detected, the change-over means is immediately operated to allow the contacts 55a, 64a, 65b; 55b, 64b, 65a to be opened and closed, respectively. Thus, the excitation control by the group A is shifted to that by the group B.
