Abstract
PURPOSE:To keep radiating conditions optimal, by providing a casing containing a current limiting reactor, in addition to a radiator attached to the body of an oil- immersed electric appliance and by controlling the flow rate of insulating oil which flows through the casing. CONSTITUTION:A transformer body 4 comprising a core 2 and a winding 3 is contained in a transformer casing 1 filled with insulating oil 5. The top and bottom of the transformer body 4 are supported by a winding hold-down plate 6 and a winding support plate 8 and secured by winding clamp jacks 7, 10. A conservator 13 is coupled to the top plate of the casing through a communication pipe 12. A high- voltage bushing 14 etc. are attached to the top plate. A radiator 23 is connected to the casing 1 through oil pipes 24, 25. A reactor casing 16 containing a current limiting reactor 17 is attached to the transformer casing 1 by oil pipes 18, 19. The insulating oil 5 flowing through a bypass 20 extending to both the ends of the reactor 17 in the casing 16 is regulated by a flow control valve 21. The flow rate of the insulating oil 5 flowing through the casing 1 is adjusted by only the valve 21 to optimize the radiation effect.
