Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the transmission time of the document information by deciding whether the picture signals of one scan line is the reading information or non- reading information to control the speed of the picture signal and then to transmit the decision information and then controlling the feeding speed of the recording paper at the reception side in accordance the decision information.

CONSTITUTION: When the character information is read out through information reader 1, the information is transmitted to the reception side in the normal transmission speed and then reproduced on the recording paper via information recorder 8. In case the blank area of the document is scanned, quick sending deciding counter circuit 10 decide that signal (a) is the non- reading information. Thus decision signal (b) of H-level plus continuous white-line numerical signal (e) are transmitted to signal control circuit 11. At circuit 11 the speed converting function of signal speed conversion circuit 9 is stopped by signal (c), and signal (a) is cut off. At the same time, the synchronous signal is cut off, and signal (e) is transmitted after modulation 4 via signal synthesizing circuit 2. At the reception side, the drop-out of the synchronous signal is identified through quick sending inentification circuit 12. And the quick sending of the recording paper is given at the sections corresponding to the number of the white lines shown by the signal (e). Thus, the transmission time can be reduced for the character information.
