Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to spin a high-quality spun yarn stably with little broken yarns for a long time, by means of an abrasion-resistant rotor having the inner surface coated with a ceramic. CONSTITUTION:The areas 6 and 7 of the inner wall surface around the maximum diameter part 5 of the rotor 1 are coated with a ceramic by the spray method. Preferably, the coating thickness is about 30-60mu on the part 5 and inner surface wall 7, and about 10-30mu on the surface wall 6. The ceramic coating renders the rotor remarkably resistant to harsh abrasions due to the collision of the feed fiber 4, the twisting of the yarn end newly spun at the part 5, and contact and rotation of yarn 8 on introduction into the yarn discharge pipe 3.
