CONSTITUTION: The magnetic tape recorded by the PAL system is used as the recording medium, and this tape is reproduced through video tape recorder VTR1 to be then converted into the video signal. In this case, the video signal used for conversion of the scan line is processed. In such process circuit, the reproduced video signal obtained from VTR1 features the field frequency of 60 Hz with the horizontal scan lines kept in 625 pieces as before. And CCD21∼2n are used to convert the 625 pieces into 525 pieces (NTSC system) for the signal process. As 525/625 = 21/25 is satisfied, the reading is carried out with omission of four horizontal periods among 25 horizontal periods.
