Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the collapse of winding by varying the circumferential speed of traverse drum in accordance with the winding amount of yarn package.
CONSTITUTION: A limit switch 15 functioning when the winding amount of yarn package in the moving path of slide block 25 reached to desired level is provided to function the exchange switch 16 by means of a signal from said limit switch 15. The yarn is initially supplied with the circumferential speed of traverse drum 23 to be set by the first power source equipment 21' then it is wound. When the winding amount of yarn package 6 reaches to desired level, said limit switch 15 functions to exchange said switch 16, thereby the yarn is supplied with lower circumferential speed to be set by the second power source equipment 22' and wound. Consequently when the winding amount of yarn package reaches to desired amount, winding tension is increased to produce hardly wound condition thereby the collapse of winding is prevented.
