Since the image on the fluorescent screen 21 is contracted at the short side of the trapezoidal shape and the current density of the electron beam increases along the said short side, thereby generating move heat at the short side of the trapezoidal shape. Since the fluorescent screen 21 is in close contact with the funnel portion 19, the heat transmission can be made easily and the heat radiation can be made effectively.
