Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure to stop and restart this processor, by giving the trap interruption signal from the switch circuit at power failure and the output reset pulse of the OR circuit to the microprocessor at the restoration of power failure.
CONSTITUTION: In the unit using the microprocessor 1, DC voltage is obtained by rectifying AC power input. When the power input is in failure, the switch circuit 3 produces the trap interruption signal, and when the power failure is restored, the level pulse conversion circuit 4 produces the first reset pulse with the level change in the trap interruption signal, the circuit power supply leading detection circuit 5 produces the second reset pulse, logical sum 6 is taken for the first and second reset pulses and the result is given to the processor 1. Thus, on power failure, the processor 1 can surely be stopped and restarted with the trap interruption signal on power failure and with the output reset pulse of the OR circuit 6 on the restoration of power failure.
