Abstract
PURPOSE: To form the corrugated sheet at low cost by straightly using purchased blank materials having lateral bends by letting the forming development dimensional differences between the inside and outside diameters of the laterally bent blank plate to be formed be absorbed in the shape changes of the wave parts formed on the inside and outside diameter parts.
CONSTITUTION: Within the allowable range of the lateral bending size δ of a blank plate 1C, the length LA of an arc and the length LC of the same chord are approximately equal and may be regarded LA≈LC. Hence, based on the length LC of the chord and the lateral bending size δ, the angle θ that the inside diameter RO and arc assume is obtained as RO=(LC2+4δ2)/8δ, θ=2tan-1LC/2 (RO-δ).
