Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve the decrease in blast furnace fuel ratio, the reduction in Si variations in pig iron, etc. over a long period of time, perform high efficiency and stability maintaining operation by executing the reducing blowing-down operation of the blast furnace by taking the timings at which the efficien stable maintenance of the blast furnace changes. CONSTITUTION:When the factors hampering the high efficiency and stable operation maintenance of the blast furnace are occuring, both result in the appearance of the decrease in etaCO [CO2%/(CO%+CO2%)X100 in furnace top gas] and the rise in the variations of [Si]. Because of this, if, for example, the decrease amount of etaCO continues at monthly average 0.3% or more for two months from the nearest three months and/or if the rise amoung of the variations in [Si] in the pig iron occurs at monthly average 0.03% or more for two months from the 3rd month, then the reducing blowing-dowx operation up to the shaft lower part or bosh below the existing fusion zone level of the charging raw material level is done. This is done peiodically with one year, preferably 4-6 months, of the maximum period of this reducing blowing-down time, by which the high efficiency and stable operation of the blast furnace may be maintained.
