Abstract

PURPOSE:To simply and easily conduct mounting and removal work of a gear hob supporting arbor, by slidably supporting a center slider in a direction of axial line with a slider, rotatably supporting this slider in the housing and then operating a knob of a hydraulic block. CONSTITUTION:A gear hob supporting arbor 21 is positioned between a driving spindle 23 and a center slider 41, and the slider 41 is axially forwarded. And a hydraulic block 49 is engaged to the rear part of a slider 43, and turned about an angle of 30 deg. to securely install it. Then a knob 51 of the hydraulic block 49 is rotated to raise an oil pressure in a pressure oil hole 49b, moving the slider 41 forward in a direction of the arrow mark A and holding the arbor 21 between the slider 41 and the driving spindle 23. Simultaneously, the hydraulic block 49 is pressed in a direction of the arrow mark B to press-engage a pawl 55 of the hydraulic block 49 to a guide groove 43a in the slider 43, and the hydraulic block 49 is tightly coupled to the slider 43 to ensure a holding of the gear hob supporting arbor 21. To remove this arbor 21, the knob 51 is reversely turned to make a disengagement between the pawl 55 and the guide groove 43a, and the hydraulic block 49 is axially shifted with the slider 41 to perform a replacement of the arbor 21.
