Abstract

PURPOSE:To make possible the continuous rolling of the steel bar, to improve the productivity, and to contrive the reduction of the manufacturing cost, by constituting the apparatus in the way of combining the plural strands of the continuous casting machine and the common rolling mill groups through the mechanism for controlling the casting rate of the casting machine correspondingly to the speed of material in the rolling mill. CONSTITUTION:The plural lines of common rolling mill groups, that is the intermediate rolling mill group 17 and the finishing mill group 18, are combined and arranged in plural lines of strands A, B, consisting of the tundish 1, the molds 3A, 3B, the drawing rolls 5A, 5B, the reheating furnace 13, the roughing mill group 14A, 14B, etc. This apparatus is added with the combined control mechanism for performing the detection of the loop length (difference of casting rates) of the loops 15A, 15B, of the case billets adjustment for the pouring rates variation of the pouring rates correction of the amount of the loop; hereby, the casting rate and drawing rate of each line A, B, is controlled so as to be equal to each other.
