Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent scaling near a portion where a base portion of a duct for introducing gas into an absorbing tower and a side-wall of the absorbing tower are connected by a mechanism wherein the connecting portion is parted from a point where slurry flows down.
CONSTITUTION: The absorbing tower (used for device such as a wet smoke exhausting desulfurizing device ) is formed in such a manner that a spray means 2 is mounted into an absorbing tower body 1 and a duct 3 for inducing gas in installed to a side-wall of the tower at a lower portion of the spray means 2 and a discharge pipe 6 to the bottom of the tower. The duct 3 is disposed in a shape that a portion b where a base portion of the duct and the side-wall of the tower are connected is located at more remote positions from the central axis of the absorbing tower body 1 than a portion a where an upper surface portion of the duct and the side-wall of the tower are connected.
