Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove magnetic fluid that is scattered and mixed in the vacuum exhaust gas and to prevent the deterioration of performance of the vacuum exhaust pump by providing a trap, to which the centrifugal force is applied, as a part of the vacuum exhauster.
CONSTITUTION: Two annular pole blocks 9 that are opposite to each other are provided inside of the cylindrical case 8 in the stator side so that exhaust gas from the aperture of the ring cover 4 of magnetic substance, which corresponds to the outer circumference of the exhaust tube 3, is led to the vacuum pump 16 through the exhaust port 14 provided in the case 8, and the exhaust gas is discharged through the space among plural bar magnets 10 that are bridged between both the opposite end faces of the pole blocks 9. The trap 17 by which magnetic fluid is removed from the exhaust gas is formed between the stator side outlet and the exhauster. The main body of the trap 17 is the U-shaped tube 18 of non-magnetic material, which is a part of the vacuum exhauster circuit, and the magnet 19 is placed in the outer circumference of the bottom of trap 17 so that the magnetic flux, which passes N and S poles of the pole pieces 20 opposite to each other, traverses the flow passage of exhaust gas. In this way, the deterioration of performance at the exhaust pump can be prevented.
