Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a battery which shows the operating voltage in the vicinity of 1.5V and has an excellent compatibility with a general battery by combining a positive electrode which uses a copper-bismuth compound oxide, lithium system negative electrode, and nonaqueous electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:For example, the copper-bismuth compound oxide obtained by sintering the solid matter which was solved in l,000cc of pure water containing 80g of copper nitrate and 40g of bismuth nitrate, boiled, and dried, at 800 deg.C for several hours in an electrical furnace, is used as the active material of a positive electrode. Carbon powder and fluorine resin are mixed in this powder at a weight ratio of 6-4-90, pressurized, and molded. The pellet which is thermally bonded at 300 deg.C is used as the postive electrode. Lithium or its punched alloy are used as a negative electrode. For instance, a battery is formed by impregnating the electrolyte in which 1mol concentration of lithium perchlorate is solved in the mixed solvent of propylene carbonate and 1, 2-dimethoxyetan in the separator of polypropylene nonwoven fabric.
