Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve detection resolving power with simple constitution, by first, mounting plural number of magnetic wire, having fixed characteristic onto circumference of rotating body with fixed intervals and, secondly, providing coil which generates induction voltage subject to variation of magnetic field of magnetic wire, and a pair of magnets which magnetize magnetic wires.
CONSTITUTION: Plural magnetic wires 11 are mounted on outer circumference of rotating cylindrical body 10. Close to outer circumference of cylindrical body 10, magnetic core 12 is provided, and on periphery of core 12, magnetic coil 13 is wound and also a pair of magnets 14, 14' are disposed. Magnetic wires 11 have differed magnetic resistance property between its core part and contour part and moreover are constructed so that in case core part and contour part are magnetized each other in opposit direction, there formed magnetic domain wall between them. When magnetic wire 11 gets influences from magnetic field of magnet 14, outer magnetic field magnetizes core part and contour part of wire 11 in the same direction and thus generates magnetic field of the same direction, and when cylindrical body 10 turns as shown in the arrow mark and reaches to magnet 14', there generated magnetic field in opposite direction and in each time when magnetic wire 11 passes through magnet 14, 14', there generated electric signal of large voltage value and detection for rotating angle can be performed by signal processing circuit 15.
