Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve a heat transfer by a method wherein a plurality of fins are arranged in a surface of a heat transfer pipe in such a direction as they are crossed with the longitudinal direction of the pipe, grooves extending from a front surface of a heat transfer pipe to its back surface are formed between the fins and the mists adhered on the front surface of the pipe are guided to the back portion.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of fins 4 having triangular section are arranged on the surface of a group of heat transfer pipes 2, and the grooves 5 extending from the front side of the heat transfer pipe to its back surface are formed between these fins 4. Leading ends of the fins 4 are formed to have a sharp shape. Arrangement of the grooves 5 causes the mist liquid adhered to the front side of the pipe to be guided to the back side, and both a proper holding and removal of the mist liquid are performed. Sharp shape of the leading ends of the fins 4 will cause the portions except the leading ends of the fins at the back surface to be wet by the mist liquid. Therefore, a rate of heat transfer is substantially improved.
