Abstract
PURPOSE: To make possible high-grade purification treatment by simple facilities and method by letting the sanitary waste having undergone purification treatment flow intermittently down in the river location soil from its major bed to the minor bed direction thereby letting the same undergo reverse filtration and undersoil flow down.
CONSTITUTION: Sewerage treated water or the like is flowed in the permeable channel 3 provided in the major bed through excavation without timbering and a high level H and a low level L are repeated once or twice a day. When sanitary waste is flowed intermittently by making use of fluctuations of the above-mentioned water level into the underground trench 4 comprising connecting porous concrete pipes and vitrified clay pipes by leaving spacings at 30 to 50 cm below ground level GL, then it is only subjected to underground percolation treatment in the arrow 5 direction first, but from the way it reverse-filters in the ground surface soil in the arrow 6 direction until finally it flows down in the ground level GL like the arrow 7 and reaches a normal drainage basin 2. This makes possible removal of e.g., more than 50% of total amount of COD, 80% of phosphorus, 30% of nitrogen, 95% of SS and 99% of bacterium colicommune.
