Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the damping coefficient of an antivibration holder, by fitting fixtures to both ends of a rubbery thick cylinder, at least either one of which being solidly enclosed and communicated with the inside of cylinder through a small hole. CONSTITUTION:Fixtures 2, 3 having fittings 2a, 3a respectively are solidly set to both ends of a rubbery thick cylinder 1. A small through hole 4 is made on the fixture 3 to communicate with the inside 1a of the cylinder 1, and a rubbery enclosure 6 with a sheet like portion 5 at the center is solidly set to the fixture 3 on the other side of the cylinder 1 to form a space 5a outside the samll hole 4. An annular band 7 is fitted to enclose the cylinder 1 at the center. The inside 1a of cylinder 1 and the space 5a are filled with liquid such as water. The damping performance of the holder can be given by selecting the diameter of the small hole 4.
