Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently, safely lead out the residual steel pipe, by making rotatable a couple of rolls, to be the lower pipe holder, being respectively provided with the driver, and by making adjustable the roll gap of these rolls.
CONSTITUTION: The residual steel pipe being cut away from the steel strip 37 is held by the pipe holder 34'. This residual steel pipe is rotated by connecting the roll 25 of the pipe holder 35 to the high speed driving motor 31 through the clutch, after the inner surface forming stand 1 and the upper pipe pusher 38 are elevated. By the force of this rotation, the residual steel pipe is carried at high speed while being spirally rotated. when the residual steel pipe is carried to the specified position, the high speed driving motor 31 is stopped and the clutch is disconnected, and the low speed driving motor 32 is connected to the roll 25' through the clutch, and is actuated; hereby, the rotational carrying speed of the residual steel pipe is altered to the low speed suitable for the cutting work. The residual steel pipe is cut into the specified length by the gas torch 19 of the traveling cutter 18.
