Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a pipe cutter whose cutting efficiency and labor-saving are improved by making the through process of determining the cutting size of pipes and cutting pipes.

CONSTITUTION: The pipe to be cut 29 which is fed from a pipe feed frame table 28 is first placed on the pipe feed rollers 4 having risen to stand-by position above pipe support rollers 2 and next moved on said rollers 4 by hand so that the tip thereof is adjusted to a locating point 30. Next, all stoppers 16 are contacted with the outer circumference of said pipe to be cut 29 by driving a cyinder 21, a trolley 8 is transferred by turning a handle 12, and a rearmost stopper 16a is let fall from the rear end of said pipe to be cut 29 and contacted with the rear end face of said trolley 8. Next, said pipe to be cut 29 is fed forward until a stopper 16b comes out of said pipe to be cut 29 due to the own weight thereof and the tip face thereof is adjusted to the operation position of a grind stone 3. Said pipe to be cut 29 is fed further until stoppers 16c, 16d... fall due to the own weight thereof and cut in a fixed size.
