Abstract

PURPOSE: To form the flocs of improved floculating, sedimenting, filtering and dehydrating characteristics by using three component bases of cyanamide aldehyde- base polycondensate, cationic marcomolecular flocculant and water insoluble filter aid powder as essential combinations and adding these to waste water without prior mixing of these.
CONSTITUTION: The treating agent selected from the group consisting of (a) premixed water soluble suspension containing cyanamide-aldehyde condensate system flocculant and water insoluble filter aic powder, (B) premixed water soluble suspension containing other cationic macromolecular flocculant and water insoluble filter aid powder, (C) cyanamide-aldehyde condensate base flocculant water soluble solution, (D) other cationic macromolecular water soluble solution is used and the treating agents of A and B and/or D are added in combination to waste water without prior mixing or the treating agents of B and A and/or D are added in combination to the waste water without prior mixing, whereby the waste water is flocculation-treated. Here, the cationic macromolecular flocculant is used at about 10W50pts.wt. (solids) and water insoluble filter aid powder at about 100W1000 pts.wt. (solids) based on 100pts.wt. (solids) of cyanamide-aldehyde condensate base flocculant.
