Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the radiation of noise radio waves and the transient picture distortion, by forming a distributed resistance-capacitance LPF between the electrically conductive films each being applied to the inner and outer surfaces of the funnel wall respectively.
CONSTITUTION: A DC voltage of 20W30kV, which is obtained by rectifying the fly-back pulses, is applied to an anode electrode 9 provided on the picture tube funnel. The anode electrode 9 is connected to an electrically conductive film 20 applied to the inner surface of the funnel, and this film 20 and an electrically conductive film 21 applied to the outer surface of the funnel constitute a picture tube capacitance CF of 500W3000pF therebetween. A color selecting shadow mask 10 and a metal back 22 on the rear surface of fluorescent substance are connected together by a metal spring, and these parts and an implosion preventing reinforcing metal member 23 for clamping the outer periphery of the picture tube panel skirt etc. constitute a capacitance of 100W300pF therebetween.
