Abstract
PURPOSE: To limit the movement of granular bodies preventing damages, and to obviate the generation of impalpable powder, by a mechanism wherein the inside of a housing of a regenerator is divided into a plurality of portions in the axial direction by means of wire meshes.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of finely meshed gauzes 10a of approximate 100 mesh are inserted at the heater 1 side of a housing 3a of a regenerator, and one portion of granular bodies 9 is filled, and a sheet or a plurality of gauzes 10b are inserted, and one portion of the granular bodies 9 is again filled. Consequently, since the granular bodies 9 in the housing 3a are partitioned into a plurality of sections, the moving distance of the granular bodies is limited in several section by means of each gauze 10 even when a functioning gas passes in the housing 3a of the regenerator at high speed and the granular bodies 9 shift, thus lessening the moving distance and the moving speed, then reducing the generation of powder worn due to the mutual collisions of the granular bodies 9.
