Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a single worm to both transfer a lubricating oil and detect a speed, and promote a simplification of the construction, by constructing the worm that constitutes a screw pump and the worm of a speedometer drive system continuously into a single worm.
CONSTITUTION: In a transmission where a worm 37, for constituting a transmission lubricating screw pump, and a pinion 43, for constituting a speedometer drive system, are provided on a main shaft 5 protruded into a rear extension 3 of the transmission, the above described worm 37 is uniformly constructed on the main shaft 5 with its axial length made slightly longer. The front end side of this worm 37 is positioned partially intruding into an insertion hole 38 of an adapter plate 3a installed to the gear housing wall. The insertion hole 38 is made opening to a ring- shape groove 39 and linked to an oil trough 41 through an oil dripping hole 40. And partially to the rear end side of the worm 37 is meshed the speedometer pinion 43.
