Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the occurrence of an abnormal thickness at a boundary region between the portion where the adhesive effect affected by the means described hereunder and where said effect is not exerted, by bringing a hydrated cloth into contact with an area of a polymer film having an increased adhesive strength. CONSTITUTION:A molten polymer film 3 continuously extruded from a mouth piece 1 is brought into contact with a drum 2. While the said film, resultantly, is drawn to the left, it is cooled for hardening to form a cooled film. In the process where the film is cooled, an adhesive force is yielded between the ends of the polymer film 3 and the cooling drum 2 by the effect of a static induction being applied to the ends when the ends pass through between electrodes 4, whereto a high voltage of a high voltage generating source 5 is impressed, and the cooling drum 2. Within the area where the adhesive force is yielded, hydrated cloth 7 is brought into contact with the film surface from the side not in contact with the drum 2.
