Abstract

PURPOSE: To make easy to set scouring detection site and to enable to measure scouring amount precisely, by setting ultrasonic emitter and receptor at inside upper and lower parts of a small window which is opened at side wall of hollow shaft.
CONSTITUTION: At several places in lower side of long hollow pole having a sharp tip, lengthwise small windows 14 are opened, and in the inside upper and lower parts of the hollow shaft 8, ultrasonic emitter 12 and the receptor 13 are fixed by support 17 so as to face the emitter and receptor faces each other. Signal cables 9a, 9b are connected the emitter 12 and the receptor 13 through a connector 16 at the upper part and to ultrasonic transmitter and receiver with single signal cable 9. A cap 11 is set on the top part of shaft 8 and the position of small window 14 is in close place to a scouring limit line 15 of river bed when the shaft is driven in. By so doing, it is easy to set it at a detection place and it enables to carry out measurement of scouring amount very precisely.
